Reminder of Summer School Requirements
Middle School Students Grades 6-8 who earn a final grade below 60% in math and/or English will be required to complete an online summer school program. Summer School will no longer be available at Carver Middle High School. Summer school fees will vary based on the number of courses required. There will be a fee of approximately $149.00 per course. More detailed information regarding summer school options will be provided when grades are finalized.
High School Students Grade 9 - 12 will be required to attend summer school for the following reasons:
Student earned a final grade of below 60% in a current or previous course
Loss of credit in a course due to absences
Need to make up or meet a graduation requirement
Summer School will no longer be available at Carver Middle High School. In order to stay on track to meet graduation requirements, students will have several options to enroll in an alternate summer school program. This includes attendance in a summer school program at surrounding area schools or an online option. Summer school fees will vary based on your selected program. More detailed information regarding summer school options will be provided as needed.
We recommend that students and families check Aspen regularly for grades and communicate with teachers to make plans to bring up grades if currently in danger of failing a class for the year.
High school families, it is also a good idea to check attendance to ensure that students are not in danger of losing credit for a class. Just a reminder that students are allowed 8 absences for a semester class and 16 absences for a full year class.

Celebrating our SENIORS!!! Class of 2026
Congratulations CLASS of 2026!!! Wishing our Seniors the Best of Everything!
COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Computer Science pathway has been designed to “empower students to be technology trailblazers,” putting the coding and design into their hands. Using “Python” programming, MIT App Inventor, Vex Robotics, and other industry-rated offerings, students will engage with curriculum and activities from PROJECT LEAD THE WAY (PLTW), a nationally-recognized science program. The student experience will include coding their own video game through programming basics, creating apps to solve real-world problems, engaging in relevant cybersecurity issues and closing those vulnerabilities, all while understanding the connection to the industry. Students who complete the three PLTW courses during high school receive special designation on their transcripts, similar to Advanced Placement (AP) classes. The third of the three PLTW courses aligns with the College Board’s Computer Science AP standards and students would be prepared to take the AP exam at the end of the year.
CLEAN ENERGY
The Clean Energy pathway explores a growing industry in our area and world. The 2022 Massachusetts Clean Energy Industry Report notes that since 2010, the clean energy industry in Massachusetts experienced 73% job growth which includes subsects of the industry in electric vehicles, offshore wind, smart grid and solar power jobs. When it comes to energy conservation and efficiency, the materials, technology and services are constantly evolving and is more important than ever.
