Principals' Message
Dear SCS Families and Caregivers,
We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your incredible support throughout the 2025–2026 school year! That unmistakable community spirit was on full display today at our annual PTO Jog-a-thon—a reflection of what is possible when we all come together for the kids.
We watched the sheer joy and determination of our students as they powered through their laps around the bus loop and the Davis Park neighborhood. But what made today truly special was the powerful connection surrounding them: the sound of parents, caregivers, and staff cheering in unison, lifting up every single child with every single step. It was a beautiful reminder that our kids thrive because they have a whole village running alongside them.
Thank you for showing up to cheer on our joggers, for donating your valuable time as volunteers, and for financially supporting the many impactful projects here at SCS. It truly takes a village, and we are so incredibly grateful for ours.
Our PreK through 8th grade students’ experiences this week highlight how fortunate we are to work in this community. There is a deeply woven interconnection between students and the adults who care for them.
The track and field meet our fourth graders participated in at CVU was run by CVU students. Imagine the time, dedication and commitment it took to bring all fourth graders from around the district together for one day.
The PreK closing ceremony was filled with songs, snacks and multi-generational joy. Many of these youngest learners will be joining us for kindergarten in the fall.
The new SCS Hoop House was dedicated this week. This project was initiated by students ten years ago and the cutting of the ribbon was a symbolic gateway to the next round of students imagining new possibilities. Thank you to the generous donation of time and expertise from our community to help make this happen!
In partnership,
Antonia, Jen and Brett

The Town Plan establishes goals and policies that guide local decision-making related to housing, economic development, transportation, land use, and community character. Community input will help shape draft recommendations that reflect current needs and priorities.
The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and is available online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VM2T8B8. Participants may enter a raffle to win one of four $50 gift certificates to a Shelburne local business. Printed copies and alternative formats are available upon request.
