Canned chicken
Small canned ham (1–2 lbs)
Pasta (any type)
Canned fruit
Beets or carrots (canned)
Hamburger/Tuna Helper
Medium peanut butter
Medium jelly (no glass jars, please)
Important Notes:
No perishable food should be brought to school.
No glass containers
No expired food
How to Donate:
Students may bring approved non-perishable items to school during the drive. Boxes will be available in their homerooms to drop off the food. Families may also donate directly to the pantry:

During this season of giving, every contribution, big or small, helps ensure families in our community have the essentials they need. Thank you for helping our 6th graders make a positive impact!
Digital Promise Research Project
The purpose of this project is to develop Quakertown Community School District’s (QCSD) K-8 computer science and computational thinking offerings on the K-5 levels, and in the process, understand the necessary skills, competencies, and tools needed to develop this early K-5 pathway. For students in QCSD), the goal is for students to better understand coding as both a technical and career skill and computational thinking as a creative and analytical process to solve problems.
Thursday and Friday (12/4-12/5):
This is the first year that we have offered this design thinking course. Because our hope is to build the best teaching and learning activities for your students, we will be giving them a chance to report back to us on their experience. Students will have an opportunity on Thursday and Friday to complete a short survey.
If you wish to opt your student out of this survey, please complete this Consent Form and send it with your student by 12/4.

Working Together For a Safe Bus Ride
We appreciate your help in reminding students that the bus ride is part of the school day and should be safe and respectful for everyone. Please review these important reminders with your child:
Put cell phones away while walking up or down the bus steps or crossing the street.
Distractions can lead to slips, trips, or not noticing cars in motion.Avoid running to the bus.
Rushing increases the chance of falling or not seeing traffic. It’s safer to walk calmly.Keep ear buds out when entering or exiting the bus.
Students need to be able to hear the driver’s directions and any car horns nearby.Wait for the driver’s signal before crossing the street after exiting.
The driver can see traffic that students may not—waiting for their direction helps everyone stay safe.Stay seated while the bus is moving.
Sudden stops or turns can cause injuries if students are standing or moving around.Use indoor voices—no screaming on the bus.
Loud noise can distract the driver, making it harder to hear sirens, horns, or students who need help.Do not take photos or videos of other students without their permission.
Everyone deserves privacy and respect, and recording without consent can create conflict or embarrassment. Please don’t eat on the bus.
Food can be a choking hazard, and some students have allergies that can be triggered by nearby snacks.
By following these simple expectations, we can make sure that every student has a safe and comfortable ride to and from school. Thank you for your support!
