Need To Know
Parent Pick Up
The OLOC church is being gracious by allowing us to use their parking lot to run a safe and efficient pick up. This means we MUST respect their wishes and work together to maintain a positive relationship so we do not lose the contract to use their property.
The lot will not be open until 1:45 no vehicles should be parking earlier than 1:45
Cones will be set up prior to 1:45 do not cross or move ahead of the cones
Cars can not park in any of the spots and must wait in the pick up line.
If you are not in a car but are picking up a student you MUST wait across the street at the OLOC church parking lot for the student(s) to arrive at their designated spots.
Once classes have arrived at their designated spots, be sure to inform the staff of the student(s) you are picking up.
All caregivers MUST meet their students at the OLOC church lot.
Students are expected to remain in their line until after they have crossed safely and report to their designated spot at the church.
Pick up on Richland/Ward street is NOT permitted. This prevents staff from being able to safely monitor all students during the pick up process.
K-2 students were provided nameplates that should be visible in your windshield. If you need a new one let us know and we will send one home with your student(s).
Student Cell Phone Policy:
Students may bring cell phones to school, but devices must be powered off and stored in backpacks during school hours, including recess and lunch.
In urgent situations, parents should contact the school office at 508-799-7500 rather than calling or texting their child directly during the day. Teachers and staff are available to relay messages as needed.
During School Hours (7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.):
No use of cell phones, smartwatches (with communication features), or other personal electronic devices.
Devices should be silenced or powered off and kept out of sight.
Students should not use phones for social media, photography, or video recording while on school property.
Any confiscated cell phones will be turned into the main office and held there until a guardian is able to pick it up.
Before and After School:
Responsible use is permitted before the first bell and after dismissal.
Exceptions: Use of cell phones or smart devices during the school day may be allowed under the following conditions:
● There is a documented medical or safety need (must be approved by administration).
