New Exhibit: You Can Never Go Home Again New Exhibit: You Can Never Go Home Again

by Artist, Christopher Friesen

There’s still time to experience our current gallery exhibit, You Can Never Go Home Again, featuring artwork by Langley-based artist Chris Friesen — but only until November 10, 2025.

First proposed in 2022 in response to rising housing costs, the exhibit explores the economic pressures that shape relocation, belonging, and community life. Friesen — a painter, educator, and community advocate — blends personal history, family archives, and historical research to create striking works that reflect both past and present housing challenges in British Columbia.

Thank-you to all who attended the Opening Reception for Chris Friesen’s Gallery Exhibit on October 14, 2025. Guests enjoyed learning about the perspectives and experiences that shaped his work. The afternoon offered a meaningful opportunity to engage with the artist and celebrate the creativity showcased in his exhibition.
