We are so excited and happy to see Kyler Larson and Larisa Perez making the choice to follow Jesus and be baptized. They were baptized this past weekend at the Keene Church with family and friends surounding them.

Next Thursday is Spring Pictures. This event is an photo oportunity to have a nice photo of your child. Your child does not need to be in school uniform for this picture. You can have them dress how you would like for the photo. We hope this is a nice oportuntiy to document the growth of your children.

Students took a step into their books today in a cross-curricular project that focused primarily on language and culture. Students experienced the story they are studying in English class as they recreated a Medieval fair for grades 1-4 to attend. They deepened their learning by studying Medieval culture in social studies. To complete the project, students turned their research into videos in technology class to share their learning with others.

It was such an exciting experience not only guessing the student's respective countries they were representing, but the students guessing their teacher's countries as well. I think one of the most beloved activities for many of us was trying new foods from Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Philippines, Korea, Paraguay, Cuba, Ukraine, Vietnam, Brazil, the United States and more! As a school we focused on our students' futures, their salvation, adding and subtracting, writing their names, improving reading skills and don't forget about technology! Our school truly has a unique blessing and opportunity in having so many cultures represented in our halls each year that paint a beautiful mosaic of God's people. I think it is wonderful to take a moment to appreciate and find inspiration from our various students' pasts, their heritage, and their families all while guiding them in conjunction with Christ. This is done by working together with their respective families to help shape their futures and the amazing individuals they will become.

Thank you all for helping us celebrate our beautiful KAES family and our cultures. We are looking forward to our KAES Culture & Heritage Celebration with our entire school and families next year!

This is a special Sabbath that KAES kids get to share their joy and give back to the many at the Keene Church that support our school. Students will be particiapating in the Sunrise (first) and Summit (third) services. I hope you will be able to attend and hear our new interim pastor, Michael Tucker.

Elementary students have been working on their jump roping skills in preparation for Jump Rope for Heart. Each year students participate in a jump roping event to raise funds for the American Heart Association. This is a great fundraiser to help others. You can participate by setting up your child's account and sending out emails asking for donations. It's easy and fun. Thanks in advance for "jumping" in and supporting this great cause. The Jump Rope for Heart event will be held the Friday before Spring Break, March 11.
