Inspiring Purpose, Compassion & Excellence
HOLIDAY MARKET
We had a wonderful week at school, filled with joy, excitement, and meaningful moments for all of our students. One of the biggest highlights was our Holiday Market!
Our PTO and dedicated parent volunteers truly outdid themselves this year. They transformed our Gold Mine Room into a magical winter market, complete with shelves stocked full of treasured items for families. The space was beautiful, festive, and full of holiday cheer.
Students were absolutely in awe as they walked in. They browsed thoughtfully and showed such genuine appreciation for their family members and friends as they searched for the perfect holiday gifts. Seeing their pride and joy as they made their selections was truly heartwarming.
We extend a huge thank you to our parent organization and every volunteer who helped make this cherished tradition possible. Your creativity, time, and generosity created a memorable experience our students will carry with them throughout the season.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Wishing you and your family a warm, happy holiday season!
WINTER WONDER
Gold Rush was filled with winter wonder this week! Our students were busy learning, creating, and celebrating the season in ways that highlight their kindness, joy, and imagination.
Sharing Kindness & Joy
Third graders have been writing about how they are showing kindness this season. They described many heartfelt ways they are spreading joy—giving compliments, checking in with friends, smiling at others, and even inviting new classmates to play.
Our students that donated the most items to our Thanksgiving food drive also celebrated this week. Their stuffed animals had an exciting sleep over in our library. Students were surprised to see the mischief they got into overnight. They found their stuffies bowling, camping, drawing, having tea parties and more!
We are thankful for families continuing to donate items to the Parker Task Force through December 18th. As you are aware, Gold Rush is partnering with students from Legend High School to collect socks, toiletries and winter coats for those in need. We have one more week to bring in items if you are interested!
Festive Fun & Games
Students also shared in the wonder of the season through festive games across special classes.
Students participated in relay races around a “dinner table.” Winning teams earned a piece of equipment that represented part of a holiday meal. All teams cheered each other on as they worked to complete their festive feasts!
Younger students also played North Pole vs. South Pole Tag in physical education class. This was a spirited game where players tried to convert others from one pole to the other. They loved the friendly challenge and the fast-paced fun.
Students also read winter stories in Spanish and shared their favorite holiday celebrations.
Winter Artwork on Display
Our hallways are alive with colorful winter artwork. First graders have lined the halls with their amazing reindeer creations. Kindergartners added to the magic with cheerful candy cane and tree patterns.
We hope you enjoy viewing our winter wonder the next time you are in the building—our students’ creativity and excitement truly shine!
ELEMENTARY PROGRESS REPORTS RELEASED DECEMBER 20TH
Teachers are excited to share your child's academic and social-emotional celebrations—as well as next steps for growth—through the Elementary Progress Report (EPR).
EPRs across the District look slightly different this year. In an effort to build greater consistency in reporting, all elementary schools are now reporting on Priority Learning Outcomes rather than broader, general standards. As a result, you may notice that the Learning Outcomes listed in this reporting period may appear more detailed or more numerous than in previous years.
The Elementary Progress Report (EPR) will be released on Saturday, December 20. Click here to Access Your Child's EPR via the EngagED Parent Portal on the 20th. For additional District support and troubleshooting tips related to accessing and understanding the EPR click here.
Thank you for your continued partnership. We appreciate your support as we work together to ensure a positive and successful school experience for your child.
