WELCOME WINTHROP FAMILIES AND GUARDIANS
Hello Winthrop Families and Guardians,
We are so excited that the school year is off to a great start! This week, we were thrilled to welcome our preschool and kindergarten students to Winthrop School. They participated in orientation and had the chance to meet their teacher and tour the school, helping them feel more comfortable and confident.
A big thank you to our Friends of Ipswich Elementary School Group for supporting our school community and especially for assisting our kindergarten families during this important transition. Your presence and encouragement made a meaningful difference.
We also want to extend our appreciation to our dedicated teachers and staff for creating a structured, welcoming, and engaging start for our students. Mr. Clark, our assistant principal, and I visited classrooms this week and were delighted to see how curious and enthusiastic students are about learning. We hope your child is beginning to feel at home at Winthrop, and we encourage you to reach out directly to us with any questions or concerns.
As the year begins, we are teaching students the expectations of our school and emphasizing the importance of kindness and caring for one another. You will be hearing more about our school values as we focus on helping students be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe—the pillars of our positive school culture.
Thank you to all families for helping your child make a smooth and positive transition. Your continued support is vital to our shared success. We are committed to building strong partnerships with families throughout the year.
We have included the link below of our new Ipswich Public Schools wellness policy.
