π Upcoming District Interim Assessments for Grades 3-5 π
The District Interim Assessments for grades 3-5 are fast approaching, and we want to ensure everything runs smoothly. Below is the important schedule to keep in mind for the assessments:
π
March 6: Interim Math (Grades 3-5)
π
March 7: Interim Reading (Grades 3-5)
π
March 10: Interim Science (Grade 5)
π All assessments will be conducted during the regular class period.
Important Notes:
These assessments will be completed in one class period.
- Students may or may not finish the assessment in the allotted time, and that's okay!
- Please ensure that all students submit the test, even if they haven't finished.
- Students will log in using the TXSecureBrowser to access the assessments.
Hicks will provide each content area teacher with a bucket that includes the Material Control Forms, Accommodations, Student Test Tickets, and Session Codes for each assessment.
Thank you for your help in making this a smooth process for our students. If you have any questions, please reach out to Christa!

IMPORTANT MEASLES INFORMATION FROM GISD
The monthly focus of βFormative Assessmentβ reflects on the practice of collecting data, providing feedback, and accommodating for learner needs to empower students to take an active role in their personal growth.
- Have you tried Formative Assessments in Seesaw?
- Did you know secondary teachers have *PREMIUM* nearpod access?
- If you are a secondary teacher, have you utilized any of the Formative Assessment tools in nearpod?
We will be rounding out our unit on gratitude next week by looking at ways to see the positives, even in tough situations. The activity on Thursday is more of a discussion for students, which means zero prep for teachers. It is a good opportunity to challenge students to look at challenges with gratitude.
