News and information from Dr. VanRheen, Principal
Message from the Principal
Congratulations to teams that are headed to post season:
Football will be at home this Friday vs Bonner Springs. Normal ticketing applies and passes will be honored this week.
The boys cross country team and two individual girls will compete Saturday in Wamego.
Soccer will continue their season at home on Tuesday.
We had one lady golfer participate this week at STATE!
Congratulations to all teams for a great fall. I recognize the time commitment for our student athletes, their parents, and our coaches. Thank you all for being amazing Wildcats!

Attendance
As a reminder, if you have a doctor's note to excuse an absence, it must be an original copy or be faxed to the high school from the professionals office.
Students have 24 hours to turn notes into the office to excuse the absence.
We will not accept photocopies of doctors notes.
Please bring original notes or have the professional FAX the school.
OPT OUTS of FINALS
Students with OUTSTANDING attendance will receive one OPT OUT for a final exam!
Students must meet the 7 or less criteria (students on blended schedules have less days and should see Mrs. Hale if they have questions).
All absences are counted except school related events.
Second quarter attendance will be important for everyone.
Thank you for your help.

PAWSitive Office Referrals
We LOVE noticing the GOOD at LHS. Students can receive a positive office referral (PAWSitive) for things staff are seeing that are above and beyond...AWESOME. Students are sent to the office for a water and a healthy treat and a picture that we post in the hall. Speaking of treats...we LOVE healthy treat donations. Individual snacks for students to grab when they come to the office or bottles of water are appreciated. Send them to the office with a note: PAWSitive Office Referrals.
Thank you for helping us notice the GOOD.
