Dallas Ranch Tardy Policy

Please note that at Dallas Ranch Middle School, it is our goal to have all of our students in class, on time, ready to learn, and being responsible. Please take a moment to review our tardy policy and discuss it with your child. Together, we can make effective, positive change for our students.

If your child is tardy, they will receive the following consequences:

• Three (3) tardies = 10 minute, after school detention

• No show to detention = 20 minute detention

• Continued no-show to detention = administrative action/parent conference, Alternative to Suspension program, and detention make-up

• If your child gets detention, they will be required to take home a slip for a signature. Student must bring the signed slip to their detention. An unsigned slip will result in an administrator calling home.

• The policy started on October 21st.

• Please note: If students exceed 25 tardies and/or 3 cuts for the remainder of the school year they will not be able to attend school activities. They will remain on the no activity list for the remainder of the school year.
