AVA Family Update

AVA Family UpdateMarch 31, 2023

Good morning AVA Families,

We have no school next Friday, and the schedule for the week is pictured below.

We have new Junior Prom info, and I thought it wise to include the Senior Prom and Graduation Week info a second time to try to ensure everyone sees it.

Junior Prom permission slips are NOW available in the Student Activities Office (SAO - just off the main cafeteria) Junior Prom tickets will be on sale in the SAO during all lunches from April 12 to April 25. You must have a signed permission slip and no outstanding obligations in order to purchase a ticket. Junior Prom seating arrangements will be made May 4 & May 5 in the SAO during all lunches.

Second Notice:

The senior prom/graduation week events and ceremonies are updated below. If you wish to attend events and/or commencement, please read through it carefully. I welcome any questions.

For both junior and senior proms, if you need to come into the building to get forms/drop forms off, or anything else that requires you to be here, please let me know beforehand so I can help you get what you want to get done efficiently.

The usual guidance and community updates are below and I thank you for your time.

1. The Senior DOC file has everything you need to know about everything, and where to reach out if you have any questions.

2. The Prom Permission Slip is vital to any students wanting to attend prom.

I hope to see many of our students at many of these events.

Guidance Update

Grades 10-11 - Regional College Fair at Bridgewater State University
On May 23rd, Attleboro High School will be taking juniors (and sophomores if space permits) to the BSU regional college fair! Space is very limited, and a filled permission slip will be required by early April, so please email Ms Nellie asap if intersted. AVA student participation is strongly encouraged!

Juniors - Things to think about...
Now is the time for juniors to be taking critical steps to help minimize stress for senior year! Please carefully consult the junior-senior timeline sheet and the junior interview form to get started on important tasks such as registering for SATs, building a resume, or asking teachers/community members for letters of recommendation. Again, juniors will review this process with Ms Nellie during junior interviews.

Seniors - More Scholarships!
Still looking for scholarships? Try using the free online, advertisement-free scholarship search tool Scholarsapp! Featured on this site is the PB&J Scholarship, an award of up to $1000, no GPA requirement, and is meant for any student who overcame personal struggles and challenges. Deadline for this scholarship is May 31st. Look up many more scholarships like PB&J using this tool!

As always, please email me at nng@attleboroschools.com with any comments, suggestions, and concerns, or to make a virtual meeting appointment. Have a lovely weekend!
