Hines Mission and Vision

Mission: At Hines Elementary, it is our unwavering commitment to establish a safe and inclusive learning environment. Our students will feel loved, supported, and find joy in learning. ❤️

Vision: At Hines Elementary, we are committed to cultivating a vibrant and dynamic learning environment that ignites curiosity, fosters creativity, and celebrates student achievements. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for critical thinking that are essential for academic success and positive character growth. Through collaboration with families and the wider community, we strive to empower our students to reach their full potential and become responsible, compassionate, and engaged citizens.

A Note from Mrs. Mathe

We had a wonderful short week at Hines! There is so much happening around campus, and it’s been such a joy to see the smiles, laughter, and learning taking place in every corner.

Our Garden Club has been hard at work over the past few weeks preparing our gardens for spring planting. We’ve also had a special treat with our Bluebird nest—four baby hatchlings that are growing quickly! Once this group spreads their wings and flies, we will set up our webcam so students and staff can tune in and watch the next group grow.

In addition, our Hines Cheerleaders have been shining at local events! They recently had the opportunity to perform at an Astros game as well as GOHS Baseball Little League Night. Each time they perform, we receive rave reviews about their skills, manners, and excellent behavior. Way to go, Cheer Girls!

Student Spotlight

Student Spotlight is a dedicated section in The Hines Herald that celebrates the amazing achievements, acts of kindness, talents, and positive contributions of our Huskies both inside and outside of school.

This space recognizes students who are reaching personal goals, excelling in academics, athletics, or the arts, serving others, or making a meaningful difference in our community. Our students are accomplishing incredible things, and Student Spotlight is one way we proudly share and celebrate those moments.

We encourage families to submit their child’s accomplishments so we can continue highlighting and honoring the many ways our Huskies shine. We look forward to featuring more of these inspiring stories!
