A Note from Mrs. Solomon & Mrs. Salto
Wow a wonderful first week! We are all working on establishing solid connections with our students here at Wild Rose. Our students are learning and practicing new routines, meeting new friends and working hard to begin to set goals for their learning this year!
Welcome back night was a huge success! Thank you to all of the families that took advantage of the all day pictures, it really allowed us to have a no hassle picture day.
Thank you to all of our families learning and working through all of the arrival and dismissal procedures, we really appreciate your partnership and collective support.
Our students are loving the new playground. Our PE staff is working with students to understand our playground expectations across the entire playground and good sportsmanship.
We are focusing on the WE LEARN part of the Wild Rose Way: We respect, we care, we learn, we are Wild Rose Panthers. Helping students have a deep understanding of what learning looks, feels and sounds like!
We are loving the start of this school year and looking forward to all the great things in the year ahead!

Updates on D303 Procedures
District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.
Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.
Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.
Wild Rose Curriculum Night
Curriculum Night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm This format will allow families to attend sessions for multiple teachers if necessary and ensure that they receive a comprehensive overview of what to expect throughout the school year. It also provides a chance for parents to understand classroom and homework expectations, and learn about the key curricular topics your children will explore.
Each classroom teacher will run two sessions:
6:00-6:25 Session 1
6:25-6:35 Break
6:35-7:00 Session 2
Please plan accordingly, this is an evening for parents to meet with their child's teacher. We look forward to a great evening!
Daily Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Supervision for drop off begins at 8:50 each school day, so please do not arrive before that time. Parents should wait with their child if walking or driving until 8:50 and supervision is available.
Daily Arrival: Students will be able to enter the building through 2 locations. These locations are the front door (#1) and the door on the west side (#15). Students will be allowed to enter the building at 8:50 and will head down to their classrooms at that point. There will be adult assistance for the first few weeks for students who need help finding their way. Supervision will begin at 8:50, so please do not drop off your child before that time.
- Students coming off of the buses will arrive at the front of the school and enter the front door, door #1.
- Students being dropped off by a car will be dropped off in the west side parking lot and pull all the way through. Car riders will enter the west side door #15. Parents please remain in your car. Students can exit the car in the areas that have a yellow painted curb. There will be staff members present each day to help move traffic along.
- Parking: Parents are allowed to park in the front lot or on street on the west side and walk their child to the building. There is no drive up lane to drop and go, as this causes unsafe conditions. There are NO sidewalks around the building. Parents CAN NOT park in the front bus lane. Please participate in the car line if driving to school it really helps everyone stay safe and it all moves very quickly.
- Students who are walking to school can enter the front door #1 or the side door #15 with busing and car riding students.

Daily Pick Up: Students on buses will exit the front door. Car Riders will exit door #15 on the west side. We call students for their cars, please have your placard in the window of your vehicle. Walking students will exit the back doors of the school to the back playground.
For our K-2 students, please let your child’s teacher know how your child will be getting home and/or who will be picking them up. For ALL STUDENTS, if you need to change your child’s plans for dismissal, please email the teacher the office and call the office so we can ensure that we know about the change. We will not allow for students to go home differently than normal without written information or a phone call.
Students that are allowed to walk home are "independent walkers," parents need to fill out a permission slip and a tag will be given to the student for visual notification for staff.
Pick up is at 3:25 - there is no after-school supervision provided once dismissal ends.
There are no dogs allowed on school property during drop-off or pick up. We have our school certified and insured comfort dog Piper that is on property at times.
If a student is late to school a parent will need to park at the front of the building, walk their child into school and sign them in.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns between now and the start of school!
