Bulldog Bark

Morenci MS/HS Communication for the week of May 1, 2023

Bulldog BarkMorenci MS/HS Communication for the week of May1, 2023

Notes from the Principal

Hello Families!

This week is Teacher Appreciation week. I would like to take a moment and thank all of our teachers and staff for their hard work and efforts. Over the course of the year I have seen teachers working tirelessly to provide students with meaningful learning experiences. Students have not only grown academically, their resilience, independence, and work habits have improved as well. I am grateful to all the staff for their dedication to taking care of the whole student and supporting growth in all areas. Please don't hesitate to take a moment this week and let a teacher know how they have made a difference for your child.

Thank you all for your support with student assignments as we push to the finish. Spring is a busy time and the longer days and nicer weather can cause students to get distracted from their school work. We will continue to offer assignment recovery as a strategy to support students but appreciate your dedication and support to their learning as well. Please be watching for communication regarding assignment recovery, monitor Infinite Campus, and talk with your student about their current grades and missing assignments.

Make it a great week!

Mrs. Ellis

Get your 2023-24 Sports Physical!

3DPT will be coming to Morenci on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 8:00 am-10:30 am to offer sports physicals for all Morenci middle and high school students interested in playing sports during the next school year. In order to participate in sports for the 23-24 school year, each student must have a physical on file that is dated on or after April 15, 2023.

To have your student receive a physical on May 12, parents will need to complete and sign an MHSAA physical form prior to May 12. These forms can be found in the middle school office. Physicals cost $15 payable by cash or checks made out to 3DPT. Some of this money is kicked back into Morenci sports programs. Physical forms and money can be turned in to the MS office any day leading up to Friday, May 12. Take advantage of this opportunity to get the 23-24 physical out of the way without having to drive anywhere or make an appointment! Please contact the MS office with any questions
