Student Chromebooks
The attached document outlines our Chromebook policy for the 2025-2026 school year. This policy was sent home with students last week.
We kindly ask that you take a moment to review the attached document and complete it at your earliest convenience. Please be reminded that a signed form is necessary for students to receive their Chromebook. We truly appreciate your cooperation as we embark on another wonderful school year together!
Student Attendance
Student attendance is an important focus this year at CHS. To help our students reach their fullest potential, it is vital that they attend school and all classes on time each day. We invite all students and families to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and collaborate in creating a positive and successful school year:
Students can enter the building at 7:15 A.M. for breakfast
Students must use their school I.D. number to sign-in to school daily at one the kiosk to at the front door to be marked present for the day
1st period begins promptly at 7:30 A.M.
Students who arrive in the building after 7:45 A.M. will be considered late
After signing in, students will receive an excused or unexcused admit note to class
No student will be allowed to enter class without a late admit note from the main office
Students who arrive at school after 8:30 A.M. will not be allowed inside the building without communication from a parent or guardian
Cell Phone Policy
In an effort to create an environment more conducive to academics and learning, CUSD will be recommitting itself to upholding best practices for the use of cell phones in the school setting. Teachers and administrators will clearly communicate these expectations and students must understand that the use of electronic devices in class, other than their Chromebook, has a significant impact on their ability to learn.
Administration and Teachers will clearly explain the following expectations regarding cell phones:
Cell phones, earbuds, etc. must be turned off, out of sight. Ideally, phones should be in Airplane mode to not distract others.
Cell phones, earbuds, etc. may not be taken to the bathrooms for any reason.
Cell phones may be used during lunch.
During lunch, music can only be played through headphones.
