Thank you for reading!
Thank You for Joining Us at Our Hispanic Heritage Celebration!
We had so much fun at our annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration! Thank you to everyone who joined us last week to support our students. We enjoyed seeing our families come out for a night of dancing, art and community.
This year, we have a new platform to manage Parent-Teacher Conference sign ups. This program is called Tes.
This platform will allow you to book conferences with your student's teacher(s) virtually or in-person, request a translator, and receive appointment reminders.
You can find each school’s parent login link below. If you have multiple students in the district, make sure to use the correct sign up link for each student (for example, if you have a student at the high school and at Village Elementary, you will need to sign up for your high schooler using the high school link, and your elementary schooler at the Village link).
Enter in your details and your student’s information to log in. A few tips when logging in:
Do not select a title.
Make sure your name and your student’s name are exactly as they appear in Infinite Campus.
For example: If there is an accent over a letter in your name, and that is what appears in Infinite Campus, you must include it. As well as any hyphens.
Do not enter in nicknames or shortened names if that is not how your name or your child’s name appears in Infinite Campus.
If you have two last names, you must include both in the "surname" area.
Make sure you are logging in with the correct school link. Each school link is unique.
Parent Log in Links (make sure to select the correct school)
Please note that appointment emails for the platform will come from Tes' parent company, School Cloud. Additional appointment reminders will also come from School Cloud.
Parent/Teacher Conferences (No School)

We Need Your Voice
We want your input in our upcoming Stakeholder Advisory Group discussions!
The Stakeholder Advisory Group is a collaborative meeting of parents, staff, building and district administrators, the Board of Education and community members who come together to provide feedback and perspectives that strengthen decision-making for our schools.
Your voice will help drive the topics of discussion and guide the conversation as we work together to find new ways to continue to uplift and support our students.
Thank you for your time in completing this short survey. We are asking for responses by the end of day Monday, Oct. 20.
Budget Posting and Treasurer's Report
Round Lake Area Schools has posted the district's adopted budget and first monthly treasurer's report to our website. The district’s Chief Financial Officer and Board of Education have made comprehensive changes to these documents in an effort to provide increased financial transparency.
These items are available to the public and can be viewed by going to our district website's homepage, selecting "Departments" in the main menu, "Business Office," and then "Financial Reporting."
You can find the most recent budget documents under the "Budget" heading, and the treasurer's report under the "Treasurer's Report" heading.
Round Lake Middle School Fall Festival
Round Lake Middle School Student Council invites all Round Lake Schools families to their first Fall Fest on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Families are invited to wear their best costumes and join us for a Trunk-or-Treat, karaoke, dancing, games and a haunted trail.
There will be concessions sold and wristbands available for purchase for $3 each for unlimited games and to walk the haunted trail.
The festivities will be held on the Round Lake Middle School soccer field behind the building. Families can park in either the Round Lake Middle School or Indian Hill parking lots. If those parking lots fill, families can park on the east side of North Lotus Drive.
We hope to see you there!
Safety Response Protocols
This month, we are sending a reminder of our Standard Response Protocols as many of our schools have or are going to be conducting the first lockdown drills of the year.
In 2023, Round Lake Area Schools incorporated protocols from the I Love You Guys Foundation, which has developed comprehensive operational guidance for safety protocols in schools.
Please see below for definitions of protocols our schools may use in drills or during safety situations so you can be aware of steps being taken.
Hold
Hold is used when students and staff need to stay put within a designated area. Examples of when a school might initiate a Hold include an altercation in a hallway or a medical issue that needs attention.
Secure
The Secure action is called when there is a threat or hazard outside of the school building. While students and staff may move about inside the building, there may be circumstances when staff and students may be asked to remain indoors and visitors may not be permitted inside the school.
Lockdown
A lockdown is called when there is a threat or hazard inside the school building. Lockdown uses classroom and school security actions to protect students and staff from the threat. Visitors are not permitted to enter the building in this scenario.
Evacuate
Evacuate is called when there is a need to move people from one location to another. In the event of an Evacuate Action, parents would be provided with detailed information and instructions for how to reunite with their children.
Shelter
Shelter is called when specific protection actions are needed based on a threat or hazard. Examples of when a school might initiate a Shelter Action may include threats such as tornadoes, hazardous materials or local threats.
It is important that parents/guardians ensure that accurate contact information is noted within the Infinite Campus Student Information System. The contact information within this system provides us with efficient communication via phone, email, and/or text.
If you have any questions about these Standard Response Protocols, please contact your child’s school office.
