IMPACTing our School for Success - Every Person, Every Day
A message from Mrs. Holloman, Principal
Dear IVES Families,
As we close out another incredible school year, I want to thank you once again for your continued partnership and support. It’s been a joy to work alongside you to help our IVES Flyers grow and thrive.
While summer brings a well-deserved break, we’re excited that many of our students will be participating in D49’s Summer Reading and Math Camps. Don’t forget that the public library also offers a fantastic summer reading program to keep those skills sharp!
Behind the scenes, we are already busy preparing for the 2025–26 school year, and we have some exciting plans ahead. While we are pleased to have achieved Marzano High Reliability School Level 1 Certification this past year, we are now embarking on achieving Marzano High Reliability Schools Level 2 Certification: Effective Teaching in Every Classroom. This work is essential to our mission—alongside student safety, our top priority is ensuring every student learns at a high level every day in every classroom.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We can’t wait to welcome you back on August 1st for Family Orientation. Please note: Kindergarten Orientation on August 1st will count as the first official day of attendance for all kindergarten students. Attendance officially counts for all grade level students on Monday, August 4th. You will find more detailed information in the newsletter regarding Family Orientation and attendance.
Wishing you and your family a safe, fun, and restful summer!
Pam Holloman
Principal

$35.00 Personalized Learning Fee ie. Personalized learning instructional tools and related training provide a manageable, high quality means to increase academic growth and achievement for our students, such as Lexia.

With the insurance fee, a one-time repair or replacement is covered. Should the device need more coverage, parents will be asked to pay another fee of $30 to cover the device. If you elect not to pay the fee, then the parent or guardian will be billed for the entire cost of the repair or replacement.

Cell Phone Policy:
In accordance with district policy, cell phones and other personal communication devices (to include smart watches) should be kept in students' backpacks and turned off during the school day. These devices should not be used during school hours unless specifically authorized by a teacher for educational purposes. This helps reduce distractions and supports a positive classroom environment.
Please review the Power Zone and Inspiration View Elementary's Cell Phone Policy
Dress Code:
We ask that families help ensure students come to school dressed appropriately. Clothing should be school-appropriate, comfortable for learning and play, and in line with the district dress code. This includes items such as shorts and tank tops, which should provide adequate coverage and support a respectful school atmosphere.
Health Room:
This letter is the annual immunization compliance letter for 2025-26. This letter includes important information about Colorado's school vaccine requirements. Colorado law requires students who attend to be vaccinated or obtain a Certificate of Exemption. Here are the immunization rates from the 2023-24 school year. This is just for your information, there is nothing you need to do at this time. Thank you and have a great day.
Very Respectfully
Kelly King RN, BSN
Important Traffic Support Needed
Safety is our first concern. Please follow the signage for right turn only out of the parking lot. We have had several near misses recently and need to ensure the safety of all. Thank you for following the posted signage.
Please do not use the dirt lot to the west of the school as this property is not a parking lot and creates safety concerns when exiting onto Vista Del Pico. Please use the street for parking, the kiss and go lane, or the Inspiration View Elementary parking lot. Thank you!
Attendance:
If your student has an appointment, please be sure to send in a physician's note to the front office so that we can properly code the excused absence in the system. Examples might include, doctor, dentist, etc.).
Should your student be absent, parents must report this absence to the front office with a phone call (719-495-5302) or an email (emalee.thomison@d49.org). Emalee is our Attendance Secretary and is the person who can assist with the call. If you do not report your student's absence, it will be marked as unexcused. Unexcused absences are tracked and reported to D49 truancy. If you have any questions about reporting absences or truancy, please reach out to Jessica Cole (719-495-5307).
