Greetings MacArthur Families,
Happy Friday! A few brief updates as we head off into the weekend and a special request.
This Week: Thank you to all who were able to attend our first virtual Principals' Forum on Wednesday. We used this time to review arrival and dismissal procedures, update families on our start to the school year, discuss volunteer opportunities for our School Council, Equity & Inclusion, and Mural Planning Committees, our ALICE Safety Drill planning and so much more. It was a great showing for our first meeting of the year. Our October forum is scheduled for Friday 10/17 at 9am. Link to follow.

Special Request: Please take some time to review the pictures below of the lost and found. Thank you for stopping by to pick up your children's belongings (or ask them to do so!) We strongly suggest families label all belongings, especially sweatshirts, jackets, and water bottles. These are the items most left behind.

In addition, school will be closed on Tuesday 9/23 in observance of Rosh Hoshanah. Sending warm greetings to all who are celebrating.
Bus Riders: WPS Transportation has completed their first review of ridership as we approach the completion of the first month of school. Please review the visual below for updates to any bus times.

Volunteers Wanted for MacArthur Mural Planning Committee: Thank you to to those who volunteered to join School Council after last week's request. This week, we invite any community members who are interested in being a part of our planning committee for the development of a MacArthur School Mural. Funding for this mural comes from a generous donation from a MacArthur family. Meetings will take place a combination of in person and virtual meetings. The goal of this work is to identify a muralist and develop our plan alongside the muralist for the "artist in residence" opportunity for this special community project. Save the Date - Back to School Night: 10/16/25 This special event will take place from 6pm - 7:30pm. Students and families are welcome to join us.
