Cedar Hill Softball To Open 2025 Season on Tuesday at Arlington Lamar
With a mix of young talent and experienced players, the Cedar Hill High School Softball Team is ready to return to the diamond.
“We have a good group of girls, and they’ve been putting the work in,” Cedar Hill third-year head softball coach Regis Andrez said.
The Lady Longhorns will open the 2025 season at Arlington Lamar on February 11, followed by competition in the Cross Town Tournament, February 13-15 in Fort Worth, Cleburne and Godley.
Senior utility player Elaina Alcala-Diosdado, along with junior pitcher Lily Williams, senior third baseman Naimah Morales and junior catcher Zuri Jones are the team’s captains.
“They lead by example, and they work hard,” Andrez said. “They do what they’re supposed to do.”
Andrez was proud of the way the team competed in a scrimmage against Grandview pitcher Madi Doty, the top player in the state and a UT Austin commit.
“We’re prepared – we don’t run away from anybody,” Andrez said.
