Ms. Fitzpatrick recently led her government students on an educational field trip to the Federal Courthouse in Marquette. During the visit, students had the valuable opportunity to engage with Magistrate Judge Maarten Vermaat and local attorneys, gaining firsthand insight into the judicial process and courtroom procedures. The tour also included a visit to the detention area where prisoners are held, providing students with a comprehensive view of the justice system. Hopefully, this is the first and only time our students experience the inside of a federal holding cell😀.

Forms are available for pick in the high school office. The deadline for turning them in is Thursday, May, 29th at 3:00 pm. Attached are the guidelines to qualify for exam exemptions.

All school districts in Michigan are required to share the Sexual Harassment and Information Guide with students in grades 6-12. I have attached the information guide as and some additional informaton including the districts Title IX coordinator information and specific school policies related to sexual harassment and sexual assault.
