Music is alive and thriving in the Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union!
RNESU music students gathered together on March 20th to celebrate Music in our Schools Month!
250 students from Neshobe, Otter Creek Academy, Barstow, Lothrop and Otter Valley came together in two wonderful concerts that the students are sure to remember. The purpose of Music in Our Schools Month is to raise awareness of the importance of music education for all children – and to remind citizens that school is where all children should have access to music.
This year, the theme of Music in our Schools Month is “United Through Music.” Amazing things happen everyday in our school music rooms, and what better way to show how music unites us than to bring these students together to make music.
All music students in our school district learned a few of the same songs to play and sing to show us how music can bring us together.
