SMP Sneak Peek October 26-30

We had another great week at our school! Today brought us our first snowfall, and watching the kids play in the wet, wonderful snow was such a treat.

As we enter these snowy months, please ensure your child comes to school with snow pants, boots, and warm mitts so they can stay comfortable and have fun at recess.

Also, a quick reminder for families needing picture retakes that they are happening this coming week!

We are so excited to celebrate Halloween together on Friday, October 30th! It will be a fun day for our students and staff.

Here is what you need to know for the day:

• Costumes at School: Students are welcome to arrive at school dressed in their costumes for the day!

• Costume Guidelines: To keep the day fun and safe for all grade levels, please ensure costumes have no masks, no weapons (fake or real), and no excessive gore.

• Afternoon Festivities: We will be hosting a school-wide Costume Parade in the afternoon, followed by classroom activities and celebrations!

• Teacher Costume Contest: Students will get to vote on their favorite teacher costume to crown this year's champion! Stay tuned to see who wins the grand prize!

We look forward to a fantastic, spirit-filled afternoon together!

We just wrapped up a fantastic Catholic Education Week! Throughout the week, our students were challenged with daily missions focused on spreading joy and showing kindness across our school family. Be sure to ask your child what special action they took to participate!

Our Grade 5 students gathered for a special Rosary Celebration. Each student was gifted their very own rosary as we prayed together, reflected, and learned about the power and meaning behind this sacred tradition. May these rosaries serve as a reminder of faith, community, and prayer throughout their journey.

The SMP Choir made a joyful noise on October 18 for Catholic Education Sunday! Seeing our talented students share their musical gifts with the community was the ultimate reminder of what Catholic Education is all about: Faith, community, and joy.
