MAP Testing Begins This Week
Grades 3-5
MAP stands for the Missouri Assessment Program. It is given across the state of Missouri to students in grades 3-8. MAP is required to assess each student’s understanding of essential content in math, English/language arts, and science (5th gr. only). This is not a test that your child can study for. All students will be completing the test on their Chromebooks.
MAP testing will be taking place at Bellerive from April 28 through May 8. The building schedule will largely remain the same, and students will have lunch and recess at their normal times.
- 4th Grade: Tuesday, April 28 - Thursday, April 30
- 3rd Grade: Friday, May 1 - Tuesday, May 5
- 5th Grade: Wednesday, May 6 - Friday, May 8
It is very important that your child is at school on each day their grade is testing! We ask that students arrive on time and bring their fully charged Chromebooks!
Please encourage your child to give the test their best!

Summer Chromebook Checkout Info & Learning Resources
Complete Opt-In Form for Students Currently in Grades 3-5
As we approach the end of the school year, we want to ensure our students have every opportunity to keep learning and practicing over the summer. To support continuous learning and curiosity, we are excited to announce that students in grades 3-5 will be permitted to take their school-issued Chromebooks home for the summer break!
Having access to these devices allows students to bridge the "summer slide" by engaging with familiar educational tools and exploring new interests at their own pace.
Important Details:
Responsibility: While the devices are at home, we ask that you help your child keep the Chromebook in a safe, dry place and ensure it is charged and ready for the first day of school in the fall. Repair fees will still be assessed if a device gets damaged or broken.
Safety: Student content filtering will remain active on all devices and will be monitored by the District Technology Department. Any online activity that violates the student use policy will result in the student's account being disabled. We encourage you to continue monitoring your child’s online activity.
Resource Availability: Students will be able to access digital resources through the myParkway (my.parkwayschools.net) portal and be able to use them on either their Parkway-issued Chromebook or a personal device.
Opting In: We understand that some families may prefer not to have a school device at home over the summer. If you would like to opt in and have your student bring their Chromebook home for the summer, please fill out the Summer Device Checkout Form by Friday, May 8, 2026. Students who do not opt in will return their devices to their teacher during the final week of school.
Summer Technology Support: If your student has a problem with their Chromebook or accessing resources during the summer, please contact our Technology Helpdesk at helpdesk@parkwayschools.net or at 314-415-8181, option 1.
Summer Learning Resources:
To help your student stay sharp in reading and math, we recommend exploring these resources found in myParkway:

- Prodigy: Build reading and language skills with engaging, student-driven practice

Simply scan the QR code or follow this link to make a quick donation. Every contribution helps treat one or more staff members to a well-deserved coffee!
Send a Note of Thanks on Wednesday
There should be a premade Thank You Note sheet in your child's backpack this week. It would be awesome if your student(s) could write a message or draw a picture for their Teacher(s) and deliver it to them. Here is a link to the note for you to print in case the sheet doesn't make its way home to you, and of course, they can create their own note if they would prefer to do it that way.
