Dear Mary Hogan Families,
It is April Break and that means we are starting to get ready for the end of the year (gasp!) and next year. As we get to the end of the year, we have a number of field trips.
If you’re interested in volunteering for end-of-year activities and field trips, now is the time to register to volunteer! It takes a few weeks for background checks, so please start the process now with this volunteer form to ensure you’re approved. If you think you are approved already but are not currently volunteering regularly at school, it is probably a good idea to double check with Lorrie to make sure everything is all set. Once you are approved, you will be emailed at the beginning of each school year to remain an active volunteer.
Important dates will be on the monthly calendar coming home for May as well as on our website's calendar and here. Many places to see what is coming!
In addition, I wanted to let you know classroom team assignments for the 2024-25 school year:
- Preschool: Kim Forbes, Deb Martin
- Kindergarten: Dana Bibb, Franny Gould, Julie Schondube, Megan Sears
- 1st Grade: Melissa Flint, Adam Gould, Raven Payne, Frankie Wisnowski
- 2nd Grade: Marlies Baird, Connie Mosquera, Liza Raymond, Elizabeth Thacker
- 3rd Grade: Amanda Burnham, Rocco Ceci, Fiona Corrigan
- 4th Grade: Nate Burke, Kate Conklin, Delaynah Leavitt
- 5th Grade: Jan Collins, Deb Levesque, Jessica McColly, To Be Hired
We have 2 open teaching positions at the moment - and interventionist and a 5th grade classroom teacher position. Both are currently advertised and in the interview/hiring process.

Biking Unit Ends
We had so much fun with the bike trailer for 3 weeks. Many thanks to Local Motion, Midd Safe Routes, and our awesome PE teachers for the fun unit.
All School Meeting
1st graders led us in All School Meeting this week as they showed how knowledgeable they were!
Water Health Club
The Water Health Club, a student led club, went to the MESA meeting this week to seek a loan to pre-purchase Mary Hogan water bottles. And, they got the loan!
