Principal's Message
Hello Yowell Families, this is Mrs. Fiscus with your weekly update!
I want to start with an important reminder about Kindergarten Registration. Registration is open for our incoming 2026–2027 kindergarten students, and we are so excited to welcome our newest Stallions to the Yowell family! 🐴
We will be hosting an in-person Kindergarten Registration and Screening Day on March 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the gym. If possible please complete the online registration at www.culpeperschools.org ahead of time and then come to the screening with your child. If you need help with registration, Mrs. Dugger will be available to assist you, and you can bring any required documents with you to be copied. Please help us spread the word to any families with rising kindergarteners! We will have a signing day table set up for all the photo ops!
Also coming up, our students will participate in the Pyramid Concert at Culpeper County High School on March 18th at 6:00 p.m. This is always a wonderful evening where students from across our school pyramid come together to share their musical talents. 🎶
On March 20th, we will recognize World Down Syndrome Day. Students are invited to wear mismatched socks to celebrate differences and remind us that everyone belongs and everyone matters.
And one more quick reminder — Field Day shirts are still on sale, so be sure to place your order soon before the deadline sneaks up on us!

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here. Also, this is the direct link to transportation.
Parents of students Pre-K through Grade 3 are expected to meet their children at the bus stop. Failure to do so will result in the child(ren) being returned to school. Should you choose to allow your child(ren) to be dropped off without supervision in the afternoon, please fill out and return this document.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.

School Resource Officer (SRO)
We are happy to have a School Resource Officer (SRO) this year at Yowell. You can contact Deputy Brandon Mack with any concerns you have with school safety or anything that would be related to criminal activity.
