Stone Avenue Newsletter
October 2026
Dear Stone Avenue Families,
We are off to a great start, and we want to thank you for your continued support! ππ¬
π« Attendance Matters!
October is one of our busiest and most exciting months! We have so many special activities planned, and we want our students here to enjoy them. Please help your child come to school every day and arrive on time whenever possible. Every day counts!
We also have Saturday School on October 10 and 24, which is an opportunity for students to make up an absence.
π Helping Our Students with Behavior
Our students are still learning how to handle disagreements and big feelings. You can help at home by practicing simple strategies:
Take a breath and calm down.
Count to 10 or take a short break.
Use kind words to explain how you feel.
Listen to the other person.
Try to find a solution together.
Ask an adult for help when needed.
For example: βI didn't like what happened. Can we talk about it?β

Attendance at Stone Avenue
Planning to Be Absent?
If you know your child will be absent because your family is traveling, your child is having surgery, or you have another planned absence, please contact our front office about an Independent Study. We can prepare schoolwork for your child to complete while they are away, which can help ensure the absence is cleared.
Please contact Ms. Esther Fisher if you need support setting this up.
If your child misses a day of school, they can also make up the day through Saturday School. You can sign your child up through Parent Connect or stop by the front office to pick up a permission slip. Our next Saturday School is October 10th!
