Winter Weather Reminders
Please keep the following in mind as you prepare your children for school each day. We will take the students outside for play whenever possible. Thank you for assisting us with a smooth transition into the colder months and for helping us to prepare your children for an enjoyable recess period.
• Dress in layers and bring jackets/coats, hats, and gloves every day.
• Please label all clothing with your child's name in case an item is left behind during recess.
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
Morning Drop-Offs
- There is NO PARKING on the blue shaded areas in the parking lot. Cones will be placed to prevent parking in these areas.
- We ask that parents do not get out of the car unless absolutely needed.
Do not pass or drive around cars that are in the drop-off line.
Dismissal Procedures
- Do not enter the bus loop in the back of the building to pick your child(ren). Not only does this slow down the buses for dismissal, but it also a safety concern.
- Any changes to your child's dismissal procedure (e.g., if you are picking your child up instead of taking the bus) must be communicated to the Mrs. Petroski in the main office (npetroski@chclc.org) and your child's teacher as soon as possible.

Math Tip of the Week: Challenging and Fun Math Adventures!
This week, we are focusing on a creative and engaging way to challenge older learners with a math-inspired activity while introducing a fun, free app to explore. Let’s keep math exciting and interactive!
Math App Spotlight: KickBox
For older learners, check out the KickBox app—an engaging multi step thinking game. Players position lasers and mirrors to navigate a penguin across the board. It’s a fantastic way to enhance problem-solving skills and critical thinking while having fun!
KickBox is available for free on the App Store (for Apple devices only).

Family Challenge
Incorporate some lighthearted competition by downloading the app together and taking turns solving the puzzles. See who can solve the most levels in the shortest time or create a leaderboard for extra motivation!
Let’s keep math engaging, challenging, and fun for learners of all ages!
