Join the Comet Club!
HCS's Mathematics and Reading Incentive Program began again this month! Below is one attachment with information for families. Students should return the completed sheet(s) this Wednesday, October 23, so that they can be recognized at our All School Meeting this month. The hope is that students will practice the skills they are learning in school during some time at home, increasing their automaticity, skills, and self-confidence. Students who participate will be recognized as members of HCS's Comet Club!
A few more important tidbits...
- If you are looking to volunteer at HCS, be a Mystery Reader, chaperone a field trip, etc., the district requires everyone to have a CORI and SORI. Stop by the Main Office, at HCS, any day between 10:00-2:00 pm to complete the paperwork. Be sure to have your license, as that is a requirement.
- Grade 5 students are at Nature's Classroom this week, and the report is that all is going well!
- Dismissing your child early? To ensure safety, the adult dismissing a student early must come into the building to do this, and sign the form at the Main Office, with Mrs. Walker.

Parent- Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held during the day on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, between the hours of 8:25 am-5:30 pm. Teachers have sent out communication around signing up. These meetings can be in-person, virtual, or a phone call. It is important that we build a strong relationship between home and school, and working closely with families is a top prioty for the HCS staff. We invite and strongly encourage all families to schedule a conference!
