Principal's Message
Dear Maple Families,
As we continue moving through the second half of the school year, this is a great time for students to build momentum and strengthen routines. The weeks ahead are an important opportunity for students to focus on growth—showing up ready to learn, practicing perseverance, and continuing to build the academic and social skills that will carry them through the rest of Trimester 2. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting students each day.
This is also our final friendly reminder as we approach the School Choice deadline. For our 5th grade families, your child will automatically “roll up” to their resident HOME school for middle school. For most Maple students, that school is Sequoia Middle School. If you would like your child to attend their home school, you do not need to complete any paperwork. If you would prefer your child attend another school, you must submit the School Choice paperwork by the deadline. Additionally, if you have a younger sibling you are hoping will attend Maple next year, they must be enrolled in their home school by the end of this week and have a completed School Choice application submitted in order to qualify for school choice priority.
Finally, progress reports will come home with some students on Friday. Progress reports are a way for the school to communicate that a student may benefit from additional support in one or more areas as we work toward report cards. They are not part of a permanent record, but serve as an early check-in so we can work together to support progress before the Trimester 2 report card in March. If you have questions about why your child received a progress report, please reach out to your child’s teacher so you can discuss next steps and supports.
With Mustang Pride,
Meghann O'Weger

Maple Chorus!
Please consider signing up for Maple Chorus for the spring! We were unable to run a chorus for the fall due to low enrollment and would love to bring this wonderful tradition back to Maple.
