A Note From Leadership
Meet our Interim Principal - Kim Berling!
We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Berling will be serving as our Interim Principal for the 25-26 school year! Kim has been an assistant principal at OSH for four years, and in our district for the last six, holding various leadership positions since 2012. Her educational background, familiarity with OSH and experience in various roles within the district – alongside the strong leadership team of assistant principals Adam Woods, Amber Hegland and Ellen Stewart – positions OSH for a successful year.
In January 2026, a search process will start to hire a permanent principal. To ensure all are valued and heard, OSH staff, students and parents/caregivers will have an opportunity to take part in this important search. More details will be shared with our community before winter break!
Before the school year started, Kim got to chatting with a few of our scholars. Check out the video HERE.
As always, WE ARE OSSEO: Innovative, Courageous, Focused, Reflective & Conscientious!

First Week Highlights
Welcome to Osseo Senior High 2025-2026
We kicked off our school year with both scholars and staff focused on navigating new spaces, new room numbers and new walkways as a result of our ongoing Building a Better Future construction updates! Our Link Crew scholars did an amazing job assisting new community members adjust into building operations.
Starting each day in Advisory, we distributed remaining Chromebooks, rolled out our conscientious new cell phone policy** (see below!), and grounded ourselves in educational goals and expectations of Osseo Excellence. We'll continue our foundational work this week with all-class scholar meetings with Administration.
As always, our success is rooted in partnership with you, our community and families. Please check in if there is anything we can do to better support you and your scholars!

Cell Phone & Personal Electronic Device Policy
Effective immediately: Class time = Device-free time.
To support a focused learning environment, all cell phones and personal electronic devices must be turned OFF and put AWAY during instructional time.
Devices should not be visible.
Listening to music, texting, calling, social media, gaming, or other non-academic use is not permitted during class.
Students who fail to follow this expectation will be asked to surrender their device and then conference with school administration.
Why this matters:
We value your learning time. Every minute matters and removing distractions helps create a classroom where everyone can focus, engage, and succeed.
Cell Phones OFF. Devices AWAY. Focus ON.
*Our new policy reflects district standards and compliance with Osseo Area Schools district policy 505.
