Progress Toward School Improvement Goals Progress Toward School Improvement Goals

ELA and Math Growth

LEMS continues to strengthen instruction in ELA and Math through standards-based teaching and data-driven decisions. i-Ready assessments help monitor student progress and guide instruction. Students receive additional support through MTSS interventions, instructional coaches and interventionists, after-school tutoring, and Camp Ignite, a new week-long academic support camp.

Support for Students with Special Needs

IEPs are developed based on individual needs, and inclusive practices such as co-teaching help students access grade-level curriculum while receiving targeted support. Student and Parent Agency LEMS keeps families informed through The Spot newsletter and encourages student voice through leadership opportunities, surveys, and support programs that address social and emotional needs.

Plans for 2026-2027 Plans for 2026-2027

Title I

Literacy will remain a focus through the monitoring and adjustment of a comprehensive literacy plan, which includes the RTI (Response to Intervention) approach. The plan will ensure continuity for all grade levels and subjects.

LEMS is a proud Title I School

MTSS

We have expanded our MTSS interventions to include after-school tutoring and Camp Ignite, a week-long academic camp focused on strengthening reading and math skills. Students also participate in a flex time learning block during the school day for remediation or acceleration. This time is data-driven and adjusted weekly based on student needs.

Math & ELA Intervention

We will continue to provide intervention through MTSS and classroom support in both ELA and Math, in collaboration with our instructional coaches and interventionists for each content area. Teachers will continue implementing best practices such as blended learning, station rotations, and targeted small-group instruction, as well as appropriate virtual instruction when needed.
