Holiday Concert (required): Thursday 12/12 at 6:30 in the SMS Auditorium.

Attire:

• BB - Blue band shirt, jeans, festive hat (optional)

• AB: Black band polo, black pants, black shoes/socks, festive hat (optional)

Timeline

• 5:45- Arrive and report to your warm up area (SB stage, CB & HB to the Orchestra Room)
  
• 6:00- SB Warm Up on stage (holiday set) Parents are welcome to come listen to some holiday favorites!
  
• 6:30- Concert Starts (BB, Perc, CB, Jazz, HB, Perc, SB)
  
• We are aiming for the concert to be just a little over an hour. Thank you for your patience.
• Students are expected to stay for the entire performance.

Now through December 12th, the SMSBPA will be selling raffle tickets to win a suite to a Texas Legends game (the Dallas Mavericks D-League affiliate)!! The raffle will happen at the concert on December 12th!

• The game will be on Saturday, January 4th 2020 at 7:30pm.
• The package is valued at $1500 and we will be selling tickets at 1 for $5, 3 for $10, and 8 for $20.
• If you would like to purchase a raffle ticket you may send your student with an envelope with cash/check and a note requesting the quantity of tickets.

The Memorial and Frisco High School directors were here today (12/6/19) talking to the students about band. It IS absolutely possible to be in band and other activities! Below is are examples of 4 year plans suggested for those wanting to be in Band all 4 years!

• Lessons play a vital role in the individual students success in band! Lesson are for the students who might be a little behind, and even for those who are excelling and would like an added enriching challenge.

• To enroll in lessons please send Ms. Hoffman an email at 'hoffmans@friscoisd.org' expressing your interest. Please also include your student's name and instrument.
