SAT Registration and About Test-Optional
Many high school students and families across the country, not just in Attleboro, have been asking about whether it's necessary to take the SATs or ACTs at all with so many colleges still having "test-optional" policies. While every situation is different, there is some evidence to suggest that submitting test scores can help increase a student's admissions chances.
To that end, the last SAT administration of the calendar year is on Dec. 6th, and the deadline to register is Nov. 21st. Seniors, please sign up asap if interested. AVA juniors and families may want to begin signing up for a spring test administration. Juniors can and should also begin studying soon! Note: it takes 2-4 weeks after the test date to get the results. SAT fee waivers are also available to eligible students and families. Please email Ms Nellie with any questions about waivers.
Click HERE to register. Click HERE to find and view seat availability for an SAT test location. The Attleboro zip code is 02703. Click HERE for SAT practice exams.
Students can bring and use a personal computer, but you must download and install the Collegeboard's Bluebook App weeks prior to the testing date. Click HERE to download Bluebook and learn more. Students who need to borrow a device from College Board will need to register and request their device earlier than the registration deadline—at least 30 days before test day.
