Park Street Family -
This week, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week! Let's take a moment to show our wonderful teachers how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication.
Thank you!
Mr. Soto
Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9, 2025)
Semana de agradecimiento a los maestros (del 5 al 9 de mayo)
A very busy May!
We have concluded the GA Milestones for this school year. We begin the Winter Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) this week and will start our end-of-year literacy assessments next week. We ask for your support in ensuring consistent and timely attendance. Please ensure your child attends school every day and understands the importance of taking these assessments seriously.
While there’s much to accomplish, we’ll approach it step by step, staying focused on what matters most: student learning and success. With teamwork and intentionality, we’re on track to finish the 2024-2025 school year strong.
Preparing for the testing week is simple but does require consistency of practice.
- Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep.
- Has breakfast at home or school (every child may receive breakfast at school).
- Attendance: Come to school every day on time.
- When they get home, allow them to play and exercise: "Burning off" excess energy through physical activity optimizes cognitive function.
- For our Panthers who get a little nervous with testing: Practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or mindfulness to manage test anxiety.
- Lastly, we need to help our Panthers maintain a positive mindset, believing in their abilities and focusing on doing their best rather than perfection. Confidence and preparation go hand in hand for success.
In closing, please take a moment to read the information below. Some of the information may be repetitive. However, I hope it is delivered promptly and consistently to all Park Street families. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Car Rider Safety
The safety of both students and staff are of the most importance!
- We ask all vehicles to stay in line during car rider drop-off and pick-up. We are moving as quickly and safely as possible.
- Cutting in or pulling around other vehicles can create dangerous situations and disrupt the flow of traffic.
- Following the designated procedures helps maintain a safe and efficient process for everyone.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation in keeping our school community safe. Thank you for setting a positive example and prioritizing student safety.
REMINDER: Early Checkout Policy
- Please limit early pick-up of children to emergencies and appointments.
- Unless it's an emergency, no student will be released between 2:45 and 3:15.
- If a child is out for any portion of the school day, the missed time is recorded as a tardy. A note sent in the morning will help us to have your child ready.
- Parents will be asked to wait for the dismissal bell. Come to the office to check out a student.
- Please be prepared to present photo identification upon request.
- NOTE: Any adult (18 years or older) must be registered in the ASPEN portal. Enrolling parent / legal guardian may add or remove an individual.
