Please remember that students are required to have a completed Student Data Card to go on any field trips. Your student will not be able to participate in these activities if the Student Data Card is not completed. Every family is required to log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to complete this information electronically.

*Infinite Campus Parent Portal sends out a unique login link every week until you log in. Don't hesitate! This is required for your child to attend field trips.

The Annual Campaign for Cardinals!

This is a fun event celebrating Cooke Elementary School Spirit! It is also the PTA's first big fundraiser of the year! The PTA funds many programs throughout the year, including field trips, Field Day, The Holiday Shop, our super cool Bus Fish Tank in the foyer of our school, Book Fair, Fall Festival and many other events and clubs. In order to reach our fundraising goal, we need all the pledges we can get! Please consider asking grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and neighbors to support your school! There will be grade and classroom level prizes for the most money collected and for the classroom with the most participation! Every dollar counts!

We need your support - Our goal this year is $15,000!

Volunteers for Fall Festival are welcome to join your child during their walkathon portion. There will also be a volunteer lunch from 12-12:45. Only those who volunteer will be able to attend this event. Your paperwork must be completed by Monday October 13, 2025. Thank you for your support!

1- 11:10-11:30

2- 10:45- 11:05

3- 10:20-10:40

4- 9:55- 10:15

5- 11:35-11:55

If you plan to volunteer at Cooke (chaperone a field trip, help in the classroom, help at a school event such as the Book Fair or Holiday Shop, etc.) you must complete the State of Delaware process to become an approved volunteer.

There are three documents you need to turn in:

1. Confidentiality Agreement

2. TB Risk Assessment

3. RECEIPT for the $14 online fee for the Child Protection Registry

Please turn in all of the documents at one time to your child's homeroom teacher.

Documents must be received in the office BEFORE the date of the volunteer opportunity/field trip.

Volunteer approval is good for ONE calendar year. So, if you completed this last October, you are cleared through October 2025. Then you must resubmit the three documents. If you are unsure when you expire, you can call the main office at 302-235-6600.

Some parents have expressed trouble with the Child Protection Registry site. We do not have tech support for this. We have learned that it is best to do this on a computer versus a phone. That seems to be more successful.

Mrs. McLearie, our School Counselor for Grades 3-5, has been a huge contributor to the success of Cooke over the past few years! She has taken a job that will bring her closer to her home and she will be greatly missed! Her last day will be on 10/16.

We are proud to announce that Mrs. Rachel Scarpitti, a School Counselor with over 20 years of experiencce, will be joining Cooke in the coming weeks. We are looking forward to welcoming her to our school!

Mrs. McLearie and Mrs. Scarpitti will be working together to ensure a smooth transition. Mrs. Scarpitti is anticipated to start on November 3rd.

Many of you have reached out looking for ways you can support our school. We would love to have donations for our MTSS School Store. Students visit this store once per month and use their Cardinal Credits they've earned for being respectful, responsible, and ready. We put together an Amazon Wish List. If you choose to donate, the items will be shipped directly to Cooke Elementary School. As always, thank you for your support!
