One Day, Big Impact: Power Up for Friendship Day! One Day, Big Impact: Power Up for Friendship Day!

Families are essential partners in this effort. Schools are encouraged to communicate clearly that February 12 is a full instructional day with fun and engaging learning experiences planned. Flyers, text reminders, and ParentSquare posts can highlight that “Friendship Day” is about community and growth, and that absences before long weekends disrupt both learning flow and student confidence. Tips for supporting attendance, like setting out clothes the night before or creating a morning routine, can help remove common barriers.

Together, through daily presence, a culture of care and consistency continues to grow.

Below please find this week's attendance chart. The attendance for this same period at STEAM Academy, which is calculated by the number of assignments turned in, was 98.1 percent.

Your Voice Matters: Please Take the Panorama Survey Your Voice Matters: Please Take the Panorama Survey

Our District’s yearly Panorama Family Survey is now open, and we encourage all families to participate. This survey gives us valuable insight into family perceptions on critical topics connected to our schools’ priority areas, including school climate, engagement, and student support. Family feedback directly informs the District’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) as well as each school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). By completing the survey, families play an essential role in shaping decisions, allocating resources, and strengthening our schools.

The last day to complete and return the paper version of the survey is Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

  • Time to complete: 15 minutes or less

  • Confidential: Yes, your responses are completely private

  • Purpose: Helps administrators identify strengths and opportunities for growth to better support our students

Thank you for partnering with us and helping guide our continuous improvement efforts.
