Spencer's Message; September 12th
What a great turnout we had at GrandFriends Bingo last week! It was so much fun seeing our students, families, and GrandFriends enjoying time together. Thank you to our PTO for putting the event together, to our staff who came out to play, and to the sponsors who generously provided prizes. Most of all, thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special.
We are already looking forward to our next community event. Fall Fest is coming up on October 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. We can't wait to celebrate, play, and spend more time together as a school community.
I am sending out this newsletter a few days early, normally you can count on the family newsletter to arrive on Mondays. However, the Attendance Committee is arranging a few more Spirit Days to Celebrate our Attendance Awareness Month, so I wanted to get that information out to you to give you time to plan.
Over the past few weeks, I have really enjoyed visiting classrooms and getting to know our students. I love seeing their personalities shine and getting a glimpse into all the great things happening in our classrooms. We truly have a wonderful community of students, families, and teachers, and I feel very lucky to be part of it.
A couple of quick reminders: Parents are now welcome to come eat lunch with their student. We have tables set up on the stage for families to use.
Family Community Day is September 25th and is a great opportunity to connect with your child's teacher. Please watch for information from your child's teacher about signing up for a conference time.
Thank you for continuing to make our school such a welcoming and connected place. I am so glad to be on this journey with all of you!
