ATTENDANCE COUNTS!

Across the country, more than 8 million students are missing so many days of school that they are academically at risk. Chronic absence — missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused, unexcused absences and suspensions, can translate into third-graders unable to master reading, sixth-graders failing subjects and ninth-graders dropping out of high school. Ensuring your child attends school helps provide a crucial foundation for their future! It gives them access to essential academic knowledge, social development opportunities, and the skills they need to be successful in life.

EXCUSING ABSENCES- LET'S TALK

We encourage parent to use the Let's Talk line to excuse student absences. Folks at the central office are ready to help. This allows the school's office staff to direct attention to the needs of our students, staff and parents throughout the day.

if you are unable to speak to someone, please leave a detailed voicemail with your name, your child's first/last name, the name of the school, the date of the absence, and the absence reason.

Note: Absences cannot be excused after 48 hours.

If you are needing to pick up your student early, you can still call the front office when you are on your way at 575-812-6100.
