High School - 4/9
High School Update - April 9, 2026
Dear High School Families,
As we move further into the spring season, there are several exciting opportunities ahead for our high school students. Prom is right around the corner, and we are looking forward to a memorable evening together! All students in grades 10–12 are invited to attend. In this newsletter, you will find important details about registration, dress code expectations, and the guest pass form. We are excited to celebrate this special night with our students.
We also want to remind families that ACT Test Day is coming up on April 21. This is an important opportunity for many of our students, and we encourage them to take advantage of the practice test resources included in this newsletter as they prepare. Taking time now to practice and plan can help students feel more confident and ready for test day.
Finally, we are looking forward to one of our most meaningful chapel experiences of the year. This Tuesday, we will hold our annual Baptism Chapel, where we celebrate students who are making this important step in their faith walk. It is always a powerful time in our community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to witness and support students in their faith journeys.

High School Chapel Update - April 7
Matthew 28:19 calls us to “go and make disciples… baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” This week in chapel, we were reminded of this beautiful command as Pastor Dustin shared on the significance of baptism. Looking to the example of Jesus’ own baptism, as well as the many moments throughout Scripture where believers publicly declared their faith, students were encouraged to see baptism as an outward expression of an inward transformation—a step of obedience that proclaims the work Christ has done in their lives.
As we look ahead to next week’s “Baptism Chapel,” we are filled with anticipation. This is always a special time in our community as students step forward to publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ. Middle School students interested in being baptized can connect with Mr. Banks to obtain a permission slip, while High School students should contact Mr. Agrimson. We look forward to celebrating what God is doing in the hearts of our students as we gather together for this powerful time of worship and testimony.

Prom is Coming! - Grades 10–12
Registration:
- MCA students who did not purchase a Dance Pass and non-MCA guests will need to complete online registration via MCA's GoFan site no later than Friday, April 17, 2026.
- If an online payment option is not accessible, MCA students may bring exact cash or a credit card to pay the night of the dance.
- Non-MCA students must register and pay online. In addition to registration, non-MCA students will need to complete and submit a Guest Form to Mr. Agrimson (High School Assistant Principal) within ONE WEEK of the dance.
Dance Expectations:
- Please refer to Maranatha's Prom's Dress Code while shopping for dance attire. Visual aids for ladies and gentlemen have been created for easier understanding. Ladies, please submit you dress for approval to your D-Group leader by Friday, April 17th. Guests will also need their dress approved.
- Students are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and appropriately for the entire evening.
- If a student wishes to leave the dance early, they must call a parent (with a school admin present) for verbal approval.
- Students may be asked to leave due to behavioral or dress code issues and may lose future dance privileges.
- Students may be held liable for any damage incurred to property or persons.
- Maranatha students (and their parents/guardians) are responsible for their non-MCA guest's behavior. If there is a problem with a guest, the MCA student will lose the privilege of bringing a guest to any future dances. If the guest is asked to leave, the MCA student will be as well.
