Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
May 13th, 2022
We had another fun-filled week at Lutherville Lab! Highlights of the week were Disney on Stage, the performance of the Drama Club under the direction of Mrs. Tunison. It was wonderful to see our students shine and for their hard work to pay off. Another highlight was reading aloud to our Kindergartners in celebration of their excellent growth in their counting skills! We enjoyed popsicles and stories in the learning garden. We'll be celebrating the growth in all grade levels through the remainder of the spring.
A calendar reminder that Friday May 20th is a half-day for students with a 1:05 dismissal.
Looking ahead, if you are planning to move over the summer, please contact the office so that our staff can walk you through the withdrawal and transfer process. And a reminder to all 5th grade families that residency renewal must be completed before the transition to middle school. Please contact the office to complete the process. And for our Dumbarton-bound families, a reminder of the 6th grade orientation to be held later this month, virtually, with DMS.
In looking forward to summer, two BCPS staff members have shared opportunities for their camps -- one softball and one running -- both to be held at Dulaney High School. And don't forget Mr. Bruns's camp opportunity right here at Lutherville. Information on all are attached and below.

Lutherville Lab Sports Day Grades 3-5, (9:30am-3:00pm) Friday, May 27, 2022 (Rain Date, May 31)
Primary Sports Day K-2, (1:30-3:00) Thursday, June 2, 2022 (Rain Date, June 7)
We would love for parents and guardians to join us on Sports Day. We are looking for volunteers to help run the activities on the day of the event. Volunteers will be assigned to an area where they will organize the children for a game/ activity. The equipment will be set up for volunteers with easy-to-follow directions. The children have played the majority of the games, so the students will be familiar with many of the activities. I appreciate any help making Sports Day possible. All volunteers must be on the approved volunteer list.
The volunteer forms for 3-5 Sports Day are attached. The forms for K-2 will be distributed at the end of next week.
