Just a reminder about the Parent Council Popsicle Party on Tuesday.

The WECC Parent Council is excited to welcome our students and families back with a Popsicle Party!

📅 Date: Tuesday, August 26th
🕔 Time: 5:00–6:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Just outside Door #7 (WECC’s front entrance, in the parking lot)

Come enjoy a cool treat, meet other families, and kick off the school year with some fun!

We hope to see many of you there!

Parent Orientation Night, Wednesday, September 3rd from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

This evening is for parents and guardians only. Parents and guardians will hear about expectations, procedures and protocols for returning to school, complete required emergency contact paperwork, meet your child's teacher and have the opportunity to ask questions. ‬‬‬‬

Supporting Your Child’s Transition

As your child prepares to start at a new school this fall, here are a few simple things you can do to support a smooth transition:

Visit the School: Drive by or walk through the school parking lot to help your child become familiar with the building.
Explore Together: If possible, take a walk around the school grounds. This helps build comfort with the new environment.
Talk About It: Share in your child’s excitement about meeting new friends and teachers. Let them know it’s okay to feel a mix of emotions and that you’re there to support them every step of the way.

WPS District Organization Chart

A reminder that the tuition contract and first of 10 tuition payments is due September 1st. Tuition can be mailed to the school, dropped in the silver lockbox at door #7 or paid to the school office starting Monday, August 25th between the hours of 8-3pm. Cash will not be accepted in the Drop Box. If you need to pay with cash you must come in to the school office so that you can get a receipt.

If you choose to mail your tuition, please be sure to address the envelope with Weymouth Early Childhood Center or WECC at 89 Middle St. Weymouth, 02189. Please include your student's name on the check.

Parking & Arrival Information

Below is an aerial map of our building to help guide you through our arrival and dismissal procedures. Please review the following carefully to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all students and families:

🚗 Driveway Access & Parking

The driveway (horseshoe) is outlined in blue on the map.
All vehicles must enter single file into the horseshoe.
When parking, please pull all the way around to the farthest available spot on the right-hand side to allow as many families as possible to park behind you.

🚪 Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up

All students must be walked to Door #7, which is the front entrance of WECC.
Staff members will be outside to greet students and families during arrival and dismissal.
There will be designated staff members at drop-off and pick-up spots, so you’ll always know where to meet your child.

♿ Handicap Parking

The parking lot directly in front of the entrance is reserved for families needing handicap access only. Please do not park in this lot unless needed.

⚠️ Traffic & Safety Reminders

Drop-off and pick-up may take a little extra time during the first few weeks as everyone adjusts to the new routine—thank you for your patience!
If you're concerned about getting stuck in traffic or need to leave quickly, consider parking on Academy Ave. or Middle St. and walking your child to the entrance.
Please drive slowly and cautiously—safety is our top priority for all children and families.

How to update your Aspen Family Portal Account

In preparation for Parent Orientation, we are asking that each family log into ASPEN using the Portal, Login and Password information that has been sent from the technology department with the email entitled "Welcome to the Aspen Family Portal". This will allow you to update your emergency contacts and medical form. It is important that you have 4 emergency contacts in addition to you as the parent/guardian.

We are asking that you complete the following steps by noon on Thursday, August 28th.

Once you have accessed your account - look at the page in full view. In the middle of the page you will see "Contact Verification and Pink form" a "+ initiation". Click on the '+Initiation" This will bring you a pop-up, click "Next" to make changes to the contacts.

Halfway down the page, click on your student's name in blue. This will bring you to the student's medical information. Be sure to have the most updated information in this form as you will be confirming the information and signing off on the night of parent orientation.

**Be sure to click "OK" once you complete your updates on each form.

It is important that we have your correct contact information on file! If you are moving to a new address within Weymouth or changing your phone number, please follow these steps:

Notify Us Within 5 Days:
Email the administrative assistant within 5 days of any change in address or telephone number.
Submit Proof of Residency:
You must submit proof of your new residence to the Registration Office as soon as possible.
