A Note From The Principal....

Hello Dwight families!

We believe that educating our Lil' Cyclones is more than academic skills and includes skills to help them be successful in life! We have begun a consistent school-wide focus on life skills and academic skills with three school rules: Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible. Our Lil Cyclones know that the reason we come to school is to be committed to our learning. When we are safe, respectful, and responsible, it helps us and others around us to be committed to our learning!

Our staff takes a proactive approach to teach and practice the behaviors we expect. We reward and celebrate when our students demonstrate these behaviors. We reteach and rehearse when our students do not demonstrate these behaviors. To be consistent throughout the school, we now have a school-wide discipline system that includes a flowchart to ensure that we are doing everything possible to help our students succeed at school. You can view our system by clicking the box below.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be February 23rd. We look forward to meeting with each one of you to share about your child's progress this year. Instead of us calling you to schedule your time, we will send out a link for you to access the available times and select the time that works best for you. That link will also be able to send you reminders of your appointment. We will open the access to sign up very soon, so keep an eye out for more information on this.

Be sure to mark your calendar for this year's Bingo Night on March 3rd and make plans to join us for this event! Watch for notes coming home about raffle tickets and details about this night. You don't want to miss it!
