The Bobcat Times Brooker Creek Elementary Newsletter - August 17, 2026

Principal's Message Principal's Message

Dear Brooker Creek Families,

What a wonderful first week of school! Our staff was so excited to welcome our students back to campus this past Tuesday and to see so many smiling faces filling our classrooms and hallways. There is truly a special energy at Brooker Creek Elementary, and we are grateful to begin another school year together.

Brooker Creek has so much to celebrate as we reflect on the many accomplishments of the 2025–2026 school year. We are incredibly proud of the academic growth and achievement demonstrated by our students, as well as the dedication of our teachers, staff, families, and community partners who helped make those successes possible.

We are also proud that more and more families are choosing Brooker Creek Elementary for their children. In fact, Brooker Creek is one of the few schools in Pinellas County beginning this school year with more students enrolled than we had at the end of last school year. This growth is an exciting reflection of the confidence families have in our school community. Even with this growth, we are always excited to welcome additional outstanding students and families who are looking for a school where children are known, supported, challenged, and celebrated.

Each week, our school newsletter will provide important information, upcoming dates, reminders, celebrations, and other news that is relevant to your child and family. We encourage you to take a few minutes each week to review the newsletter so that you can stay informed and connected to everything happening at Brooker Creek.

Thank you once again for your continued support, partnership, and trust as we kick off the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking forward to an incredible year of learning, growth, achievement, and memorable experiences for our students.

Where Every Bobcat Counts!

Warm regards,
Seymour Brown

Hello Brooker Creek Families,

My name is Rachel Kloepfer and I am your Family and Community Liaison here at Brooker Creek Elementary School. I am the person you will contact if you have any questions regarding volunteering. You will receive communication from me either through email or the parent newsletters. I have two events that I would like to share with you today.

The first event is my volunteer orientation. Whether you are a new or a returning volunteer, I would like to invite you to our volunteer orientation. We will go over procedures, guidelines, confidentiality, and opportunities. See the attached flyer for more information and scan the QR code or fill out the attached Microsoft forms if you are able to attend. We will open up the campus to volunteers after the volunteer orientation.

The second event is a mobile fingerprinting event. A vendor will be on campus during family lunch on Thursday, August 27th from 10:00am-1:30pm. If you are interested, please stop by the front office either before or after your child’s lunch. Prior to fingerprinting, if you are a brand-new volunteer, you MUST be registered through the Pinellas County Volunteer system. If you are a current volunteer and need to update your fingerprints, you must fill out the tinyurl form prior to fingerprinting. This would include any inactive (Level 1 volunteers from last year) or any volunteers that expire in 2027 (must be fingerprinted by December 31, 2026). I also ask that you R.S.V.P. if you would like to use this service so that we have an idea of how many people will be coming. On the day of, do not forget to bring your LiveScan Request Form and a government-issued photo ID. More information and QR codes to register and R.S.V.P are included on the attached flyer.

Volunteers and community partners make a huge difference throughout the school year. I look forward to working with each and every one of you. Do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions. Thank you!
