Principal Message:
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you back to St. Timothy Catholic School for the 2026-2027 school year. We look forward to working in partnership with our students, families, staff, parish, and community members as we continue to provide an outstanding Catholic education rooted in faith, excellence, and service. We extend a special welcome to the new families joining our school community, especially our Year One Kindergarten students who are beginning this exciting educational journey for the very first time.
St. Timothy Catholic School is truly a vibrant and caring learning community where every student is valued and encouraged to grow. Our dedicated staff have spent considerable time preparing engaging learning environments and meaningful educational experiences to ensure a positive and successful start to the school year. We are grateful to our custodial team for their hard work in preparing our school throughout the summer months and to our office staff for their commitment to ensuring a smooth and welcoming start-up for all.
We are pleased and fortunate to continue working alongside our Superintendent of Mississauga South, Drago Radic, and Father Gabriel, Pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, along with the parish pastoral team, who continue to provide spiritual leadership and guidance to our school community. Together, we remain committed to strengthening the vital partnership between school, home, and parish as we nurture the faith development, academic success, and well-being of every student.
As we begin this new school year, we look forward to the many opportunities for learning, faith formation, leadership, and community building that lie ahead. May God's blessings guide and inspire us as we continue to grow together in faith, hope, and love.
We look forward to connecting with our families throughout the year and celebrating the many achievements and successes of our students.
Growing Together in Faith,
M. Masucci

Relgious Education and Faith Formation
Virtue of the Month: Faith
God wants us to treat each other as we would like to be treated.
A fair person…
listens to both sides of a story
is a good team player
knows that the same rules apply to everyone
works to bring about peaceful solutions to problems
Our Daily Prayer for Faith
Let us now pray...
for the grace and strength to be people of faith—
people who can truly believe that God’s plan for us
includes the right to be safe at school.
Amen

Each of the designated entrance doors will be unlocked for students to enter and go to their respective class when the bell rings. Doors will be locked again after the bell.
The school cannot assume responsibility for private property. Please remind your children that if they are going to ride their bikes to school, to please ensure that they are properly locked in the school bike rack at the front of the school. Students are asked to walk bicycles on and off school property. Unfortunately, we have no area to lock up skateboards/scooters, so we discourage students from bringing them to school.
Dismissal:
We will be dismissing students at the conclusion of the school day, at 3:30pm. Students will be dismissed in the same area as they entered in the morning. If you have a child in the primary grades, teachers will wait with them until they are directly given to an adult listed on his/ her pick up list. Teachers will be asking parents to inform them of their dismissal plans. If you have an older child, please ensure that they know how they are getting home and with whom. Bus students will begin loading the bus as soon as the bus arrives.
Make a plan!
It is so important for families to always establish a plan for how children are getting home. Please be sure to share this plan with your child's teacher. If the plan should change, please be sure to let the school know, so we are aware.

Cellphone & Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) Policy 2026–2027
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, St. Timothy, we will continue to follow the provincial cellphone and social media policy from the Ontario Ministry of Education, alongside our Board’s policy on Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs). These rules are in place to reduce distractions, protect student well-being, and support a safe Catholic learning environment.
Key Points ~
Cellphones and PEDs should not be brought to school. If brought, they must remain off and out of sight during the school day.
No social media access on school networks during school hours.
Use for learning only: Devices may be used in class only if a teacher specifically permits them for academic purposes.
Emergency communication: If you need to reach your child during the day, please call the school office. Students who need to contact a parent must use the office phone.
Loss or damage: The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged devices.
Repeat violations: Continued misuse of a device will result in it being taken to the office. The student may pick it up at the end of the day. For repeated incidents, a parent/guardian will be asked to pick it up.
Reflection and accountability: Students may be required to complete a short reflection activity if a violation occurs, helping them think about responsible use.
Why this matters:
This policy is not about punishment, but about focus, safety, and responsibility. By limiting cellphone and social media use during the school day, we are creating more opportunities for learning, connection, and personal growth.
Thank you for working with us to support a healthy, distraction-free environment for all students
DPCDSB SafeVoice Safe Schools Tool: School Community Messaging
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) is committed to the safety and well-being of all students. To support this, DPCDSB offers SafeVoice, a confidential Safe Schools Tool for students to share concerns about bullying, harassment, discrimination, or other issues. Students can access SafeVoice from the DPCDSB homepage, the Student Portal, their school website, or directly at https://dpcdsb.org/SafeVoice.
The form allows students to provide information about incidents they’ve experienced or witnessed, including details about who was involved and when and where it took place. Students may choose to remain anonymous or include their name and contact information if they wish to be contacted directly by a school administrator.
All submissions are reviewed by the school Principal and Vice-Principal, unless a concern involves a Principal or Vice-Principal, in which case it is directed to the Superintendent.
SafeVoice is one of the many ways DPCDSB works with students, staff, and families to foster safe, caring, inclusive, and faith-filled school communities. If you need to share information about a crime, please contact Crime Stoppers, Peel Regional Police, or the Ontario Provincial Police.
If you have questions, please contact your school Principal or Vice-Principal.

Attendance Matters!
St. Timothy Catholic Elementary School is dedicated to helping your child develop the spiritual, intellectual, aesthetic, emotional, social and physical capabilities to live fully and to meet the future challenges of adult roles and responsibilities. The school can best contribute to your child’s education and development when you form a partnership with them.
As parents/guardians you have many responsibilities towards your child. One responsibility is to ensure that your child is in school every day, ready to learn. In fact, it is the law. The Provincial Education Act states that every child between the ages of 6 and 18 years is required to attend school every day from the first school day in September until the last school day in June.
