2025-2026 Bearcat Blast

At Aledo ISD, we are Growing Greatness by creating exceptional experiences for our students to find what they love! We don’t just educate - we empower every Bearcat to discover their unique path and thrive. We're ready to continue that journey together next year, and registration for the 2026-2027 school year opens on April 7! Registration is an online process; click the link below for more information.

Committed to the Cats is a one-of-a-kind Pre-K and Kindergarten special event designed to celebrate the start of each child’s educational journey. Inspired by university signing days, this special event gives families of incoming Aledo ISD kinder and Pre-K students the opportunity to prepare their students for the 2026-27 school year in an exciting and welcoming atmosphere. Attendees can meet their future teachers, explore available student resources, and connect with community partners who support their child’s success. Join us as we officially welcome the next generation of Bearcats!

Join us for an engaging panel discussion about Mental Health First Aide and what parents should do if they suspect their child is in a mental health crisis. The panel will be led by AISD lead counselor Lindsay Fuller and will include Megan Flores and Dr. Carolyn Rekerdres.

Many thanks to our wonderful AHS student-athletes and coaches for making this fun event happen! Our little (and BIG!) Bearcats had a great time!

The Aledo ISD Board of Trustees recognized this latest group of students named Bearcats of Character for the 2025-2026 school year on Monday, March 23, 2026, for the character trait HUMILITY.

According to the Positivity Project, humility and modesty are often characterized as synonymous with shy or meek. This is false. True humility is a sign of strength; it is a quiet confidence in who you are. It requires an honest self-reflection on your strengths and weaknesses, and self-control over ego, arrogance, and vanity. It encapsulates a person’s feelings, thoughts, and actions. It includes resistance to false modesty or the “humble brag.”

Congratulations to Aledo ISD's March 2026 Bearcats of Character!

The Aledo Bearcats Soccer team is moving on after a dominant 6-0 win over Joshua on Tuesday, March 24! Up next for the Bearcats is El Paso Bel Air in the Regional Semifinals! The Bearcats play at noon on Friday, March 27, at Astound Broadband Stadium in Midland. Good luck, Bearcats!

Congrats to the Varsity Black Golf team on a 2nd place finish at the District 5-5A Preview! Varsity Orange followed close behind in 4th, with Varsity White finishing 5th. Shoutout to senior Braden Stokes for earning 2nd place individually!

At the Texas State Meet on March 21, senior Breleigh Mayer (148 lb) delivered all-time bests across the board—350 lb squat, 185 lb bench, and 325 lb deadlift—for an 860 lb total and a top 10 finish.

Sophomore Mallory Morgan (198 lb) recorded a lifetime best 330 lb squat and an 820 lb total, finishing 11th in the state.

Mallory’s growth this season sets the stage for a bright future, while Breleigh closed out her career with an incredible performance and relentless dedication, head coach Josh Morgan said. Congratulations to these Ladycats for representing Aledo on the biggest stage!

The Aledo High School Robotics Team 6566 competed at the UIL 5A State Championship in Waco this week, finishing 14th in the state! We’re especially grateful for our seniors whose time, passion, and leadership have made a lasting impact on the program.

Congratulations to Coach Heather Myers on earning her 250th career win on March 13 as the Ladycats rolled to a 10–0 victory over Fossil Ridge! What an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the leadership, dedication and success she has built with AHS Softball!

Aledo High School’s 2024-2025 Ledoian yearbook received the Silver Crown at the awards ceremony during the 102nd Annual Spring Convention at Columbia University in New York City. On March 20, 2026, the Columbia Scholastic Press Association announced the Scholastic 2026 Silver and Gold Crown awardees.

We loved seeing the amazing artwork from our Aledo ISD students on display at the district's annual Art Show this week - creativity, dedication, and unique perspectives that make us proud to be All in Aledo.
