Oasis India
Oasis India celebrated their 30th anniversary at an event in Bangalore on Saturday 23rd November where Executive Director Mangneo Lhungdim thanked all the amazing people who have made up the staff team over these last 30 years. To mark the occasion, Oasis India captured thirty stories to illustrate the thousands of people who have become part of the Oasis India community over its first three decades of existence. Each one of these is a source of inspiration to us all. There are many people who have played a key role in Oasis India's journey thus far and Mangneo thanked staff for their dedication, selflessness, willingness to go the extra mile, and passion to help those in need. From those who worked with Oasis for a brief period, to many who have continued for significant lengths of time, even 26 years in some cases. He also expressed his gratitude to the wonderful team of pioneering volunteers who kickstarted our work in collaboration with Apna Ghar at Kandivali slums. None of the stories would be told without their sacrificial love for the people they have served. We hope you enjoy their stories and join us in congratulating Oasis India on reaching this incredible milestone.

School Policies - Our Expectations and Standards
1. Mobile Use
The Academy is a mobile free zone, meaning that students do not have permission to use their phone whilst in the Academy. This includes the beginning and end of the day. If mobile phones are seen or are being used, they will be confiscated, and parents will need to collect them. If this is at the end of the Academy Day, they will be confiscated the next day.
2. Community Expectations
At OAE we embody our expectations in everything we do. We do this through our behaviours and attitudes, modelling to the young people at OAE and expecting to see the same high standards from them.
Attendance
The Academy attendance target is 96%. We are currently at 92.3%. Your support in ensuring that you child attends school everyday is essential in securing success for them. Every day missed, means that opportunities to learn are missed and the chance of success is reduced.

Our Ethos at Oasis Academy Enfield
Our ethos is rooted in what we believe and who we are. Grounded in our story, it is an expression of our character; a set of values that inform and provide the lens on everything we do.
- A passion to include
- A desire to treat people equally respecting differences
- A commitment to healthy, open relationships
- A deep sense of hope that things can change and be transformed
- A sense of perseverance to keep going for the long haul
It is these ethos values that we want to be known for and to live by. We are committed to a model of inclusion, equality, healthy relationships, hope, and perseverance throughout all the aspects of the life and culture of every Oasis Hub and academy community.
We encourage every member of our family, be that staff or student, to align themselves to these ethos values. The values themselves are inspired by the life, message and example of Jesus but we make it clear that we will not impose on anyone, the beliefs that underpin our ethos values. We recognise and celebrate the richness that spiritual and cultural diversity brings to our community, respecting the beliefs and practices of other faiths in the hope that we will provide a welcoming environment for all.
