Student Safety Reminder: E-Bikes and Bike Use on Campus
As e-bikes become more common for student transportation, we want to ensure that all riders and pedestrians remain safe on and around our campus. Please take note of the following expectations:
Helmets are required for all students riding e-bikes and bikes.
Riding through the parking lot is NOT permitted.
Students must walk their bikes and e-bikes from the fence perimeter to the bike racks, whether entering from the sidewalk or through the lot.
Our staff will be present in the mornings to help monitor and reinforce these safety measures. However, your support at home in discussing these expectations with your student is invaluable.
Watch the mandatory e-bike safety training video with your student: TRAINING VIDEO
Review the PUSD E-bike rules: PUSD RULES
Print and fill out the E-Bike Permit Request Form: PERMIT FORM
Thank you for your continued partnership in prioritizing student safety.

WOLVERINES SHARE WAYS TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BELONGING
I wanted to share a beautiful video created by former EL student, Kai Zhao and current EL student, Yufei Deng for their English class with Ms. Prisco and Ms. Roberts. Their controversial topic was about how video games are good for students' emotional and mental states. The video is used with Minecraft figures and perfectly depicts the feelings of isolation to belonging, and how video games can reach all people. In addition, the music volume goes from low to louder as the young person feels more comfortable in his skin. It's amazing to see such high-level compassion and understanding as language knows no boundaries. Kudos to Ms. Prisco and Ms. Roberts for their tutelage!
