Let's give it up for one of our very own the amazing, unstoppable, and all around powerhouse Tori. She's secured scholarships from Xavier University of Louisiana! Big moves, big blessings, and we couldn't be more proud!
Tori's been that girl since day one. A proud member of the National Honor Society, a respected student leader, and a true athlete at heart. Whether she's shining on the basketball court or grinding through track practice, her energy, discipline, and determination have always set her apart.
Tori has been running with Coach Benion since she was ten years old, and she's never looked back. With four solid years on the Proviso East track team and highlighted moments like placing 3rd in state as a sophomore, our star has been working hard to make her presence felt. Even when injuries tried to slow her down in her junior year, she still stayed in the game, qualifying in shot put.
This year, she came back stronger than ever. She's on track to win state in the 300 hurdles and projected to be a finalist in the 100 hurdles and shot put. With graduation falling on the same day as state finals, it's unfortunate that Tori and a classmate will miss the opportunity to bring the medals home. But, let's be real, her legacy is stamped.
Tori has shown us what it means to push through pain, lead with heart, and rise above every challenge. We know that she will continue to keep leveling up at XULA!
