Our students visited St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Palmerton to see the

Cross of Gratitude, which is being hosted by various churches throughout the world

in preparation of the Jubilee of the 2000th anniversary of the crucifixion of

Jesus Christ and to unite the nations of the world into one family at His Cross.

On Tuesday, November 24, 2026, Grades PreK-8 Students will attend Palmerton Campus for a Thanksgiving Luncheon.

Thanksgiving Luncheon Menu

Turkey, Filling, Mashed Potatoes w/Gravy

Corn, Roll, Cranberry Sauce

Dessert

** Grades PreK to 2 will have Lunch from 11:30 to 12:15 **

** Grades 3 to 8 will have Lunch from 12:15 to 1:00 **

PLEASE NOTE: Preschool students cannot ride the shuttle from Slatington to Palmerton.

If you would like to attend the Thanksgiving Luncheon with your PreK student you must transport them to Palmerton. If your PreK student will not attend the Luncheon and will stay at Preschool for the day, they must bring a packed lunch to school.

The Luncheon will be FREE for the students and ONE Guest. ONE additional guest may attend for a cost of $10.00.

If your child will not be having the Thanksgiving Lunch, they should bring a packed lunch and their guests are still welcome to enjoy the lunch!

Students can go home with their Parent/Guardian after the Luncheon. Please notify their teacher if they will be leaving.

The District 5 CYO 2026 Bowling Tournament will be held on Saturday, November 21st at Fritz's Lanes & Pro Shop, 100 South 2nd Street, Lehighton, PA

3:00 PM - Grades K-1-2-3-4 - Bowl 1 Game with Bumpers

4:00 PM - Grades 5-6-7-8 - Bowl 1 Game with NO Bumpers

Awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place Boys/Girls winners.

Division A (K-1-2), Division B (3-4), Division C (5-6), Division D (7-8) Subject to Change.

SPECIAL NOTE: TIE FOR 1ST PLACE - We will have a bowl-off to break the tie.

Deadline to register: 11/14/2026. Everyone must Pre-register! Sorry, NO walk-in registrations accepted on the day of the tournament!

SJNRS provides Extended Care for our students at our Palmerton Campus.

The cost is $10.00 per hour for the first student and $5.00 per hour for each additional student.

SJNRS CYO includes SJNRS students, parishioners of Sacred Heart, Saint Nicholas in Walnutport, and Assumption BVM in Slatington.

We are considered District 5 which also includes Saints Peter and Paul (SSPP) parish program in Lehighton and St Jerome's Regional School (SJRS) in Tamaqua. We are always in need of additional coaches/volunteers/adults with clearances.

CYO Coaches Clinics provide an overview of insurance requirements, sports medicine, coaching the child with special needs and the integration of our Catholic faith and CYO.

All CYO Coaches are required to attend a clinic within one year of starting coaching or they will be ineligible to continue until this requirement is fulfilled.

CYO EVENTS:

November 15, 2026 - Diocese Level Spelling Bee - 1pm hosted by SSPP, Lehighton

November 21, 2026 - District 5 Bowling Tournament - Fritz Lanes in Lehighton 3pm, November 14th deadline for registering.

Track and Field: information expected in winter for the Spring of 2027, generally begins during March and runs through mid-May.

District 5 CYO Mass and Luncheon: to be determined in May following close of Track and Field season.

Our School thrives on parent involvement and asks parents/guardians to volunteer during the school year for school events and field trips which involve contact with the student. The Allentown Diocese REQUIRES that anyone who volunteers for an event or chaperones a field trip must have their Safe Environment Clearances on file at the school. If you have clearances with your employer, please send copies to the Palmerton Campus Office. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated in helping us stay within the compliance regulations set forth by the Diocese.
